PRIME ® L-77

PRIME ® L-77 is a highly effective silicone surfactant that significantly reduces surface tension in aqueous applications. It acts as a profoamer while delivering outstanding sheeting, penetration, and superwetting capabilities to your formulation.

Applications:

PRIME ® L-77 silicone surfactant is recommended at 0.05-0.5% in the final formulation, with higher concentrations suitable for use in concentrates. Lubrication and antistatic applications typically require higher levels, while surface tension reduction is achieved at lower concentrations. The optimal usage should be determined through validation testing. Due to its unique trisiloxane backbone, PRIME ® L-77 is susceptible to hydrolysis, so buffering aqueous formulations to pH 7 is recommended when possible. Always evaluate the material’s stability over time.
