OPTIMUS ® AN-749L

OPTIMUS ® AN-749L is an amphoteric polymeric dispersant. Its structure provides both hydrophilic and hydrophobic balance, making it highly effective across a wide pH range. One of its standout features is strong electrolyte tolerance, allowing it to perform reliably in high-salinity environments. Originally designed as an agricultural adjuvant, it offers excellent wetting, dispersing, and anti-agglomeration properties, making it suitable for broader industrial applications, such as mineral processing/mining industry where salt levels are elevated.

Applications:

In NaCl flotation circuits, this surfactant serves as a surface modifier and dispersant, improving the attachment of salt particles to air bubbles for enhanced separation. Its amphoteric nature and high electrolyte tolerance make it ideal for brine-rich systems, maintaining performance without precipitation or loss of activity. The hydrophilic chain helps control foam behavior, while the polymeric backbone prevents particle clumping. These combined traits support cleaner recovery, better froth stability, and consistent results even under challenging ionic conditions.
