SULFOSOX ® 70 synthesis involves the appropriate alcohol with maleic anhydride followed by addition of sodium bisulfite or starting from sulphosuccinic acid and esterification with alcohol.
SULFOSOX ® 70 is a very good wetting agent for water based formulations, works at even at low concentrations) for certain EW and SE formulations. It is a very useful emulsifying agent for O/W formulations.
