SURFCROP ® CP - 500

The SURFCROP® CP Series comprises nonionic surfactants, specifically Octylphenol Ethoxylates (OPEs), synthesized through the ethoxylation of octylphenols with ethylene oxide. These surfactants are highly esteemed for their superior emulsifying, wetting, and dispersing capabilities, making them indispensable in a variety of agricultural applications. The physical properties of these surfactants vary with the degree of ethoxylation. For instance, up to 6 moles of ethoxylation render the SURFCROP® CP Series water-dispersible, which is advantageous for applications necessitating effective dispersion in aqueous media. These nonionic surfactants exhibit stability across a broad pH spectrum and do not ionize in water, ensuring their versatility in formulations requiring nonionic characteristics. The SURFCROP® CP Series are non-electrolytic and resistant to hydrolysis in both acidic and alkaline aqueous solutions. They do not form salts with metal ions, maintaining efficacy in both hard and soft water conditions. Their nonionic nature allows compatibility with both anionic and cationic agents, as well as with positively or negatively charged colloids.

Applications:

The solubility of the SURFCROP® CP Series in water, oil, or organic solvents is determined by the amount of ethylene oxide incorporated. Higher ethoxylation levels enhance solubility in water and water-miscible solvents, resulting in crystal-clear solutions. Conversely, lower ethoxylation levels yield surfactants that are soluble or dispersible in mineral oils and water-immiscible solvents. SURFCROP® CP Series are used as effective emulsifiers for agrochemical formulations. They serve as excellent substitutes for the SURFCROP® NE Series, with the added benefit of adjuvancy in formulations. These surfactants improve the spreading and adhesion properties of agrochemical products on plant surfaces, leading to enhanced efficacy and results. The SURFCROP® CP Series are 99.5% active nonionic emulsifiers, compatible with other anionic and nonionic surfactants, and can be easily incorporated into any agrochemical formulation.
